Hey listeners/readers,
on August 31, that’s last Sunday, I was MC for the “Naturally K” reggae festival held at Kawarago beach in Ibaraki prefecture. It was a really great event with a lot of the top reggae, hip-hop and dancehall perfprmers in Japan. My favourite has to be “You the Rock” with “Pacman” but “Macka Ruffin” was fantastic too, as were a lot of the other artists. And the dancing girls were amazing. what a great afternoon! If you were ther I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Stay tuned - I’ll let you know about any more gigs that are coming up.
Nice,
Kelly
Hey round eyes,
I’ve been getting up early and hosting a breakfast show every morning over the last year or so - but I guess you are all night owls because not many people have been tuning in. However, looking at my listener stats I can see that most people tune in late in the evening. So, from now on, I will present a show in the evening, weekdays, not holidays, from about 9pm. maybe 9.30. I hope you will listen!
Also, just to mention that Sergii at www.japan4music.com has been hooking me up with lots of great Tokyo bands. So, my playlist of original Tokyo music is growing fast! Check out his site, it’s great, and send me your songs!
stay tuned …

Hey Round Eyes,
from now on I’m going to play lots more Tokyo music because enough people who live here have sent me their songs for a good playlist. Hope you tune in and enjoy the music and I hope you will send me your music if you live here and are a musician. Send me your songs please! and listen in!

Hey, if you ar e amusician in Tokyo, I recommend you check out www.japan4music.com
it’s a great resource for musicians who live here for industry info, gig guides, equipment deals, etc.
and it’s free, of course. Enjoy!
Hey, I get up early every morning to do the news! You should tune in! it’s awesome! However …
if it’s a bit too early for you, why not try tuning in in the evening instead? I usually do a news and music and stuff and other stuff show from about 10pm if I’m around. listen in and I’ll play you some great tunes.

Hi, glad to report that the number of people tuning in to the station is growing quickly - already into triple figures after only a couple of weeks with no advertising. Have to start thinking about getting a server company soon, although the internal server I use can handle up to 4,000 listeners but only if I use a low quality stream rate. Please feel free to contact me and to give me any tips, feedback, or info that you think may be relevant. Also, please tune in! Send me your music and tell your friends, and remember, if you have a gig you want to promote send me the details and I’ll plug it for you.
Ace, stay tuned,
Kelly
Hi my lovely roundeyes …
sorry but sometimes I sleep in and start the “roundeyeradio get up and go breakfast show broadcasting live from Tokyo” a bit late … you know how it is. However, I do try to wake up on time! Do tune in you have time and skype me during the show, my username is “roundeyeradio”. Also, tune in at night because I usually get behind the mic and have a bit of a play after dinner, about 10 o’clock.
Don’t forget to send me your gig info and maybe your favorite music recommendations, you can even send me files, just click on the “contact” link. roundeyeradio is a good outlet for your music - although I only started broadcasting regularly on Monday the 7th of April, I already have several hundred regular listeners and the number is growing all the time! Please tell your friends to tune in.

Hi listeners, I’m happy to welcome you to my blog! Hope you are enjoying the show. I broadcast from home 24 hours and in the mornings before I go to work I host a Tokyo focused breakfast show which includes news, weather info and lots of music. I also get behind the mic in the evenings, usually after dinner, around 9 or 10. If you are a musician and you record original music then please feel free to send it to me and if I like it I’ll play it. Also, if you are doing a gig and you want me to broadcast details about it, just drop me a gmail and i’ll talk about it on air. If you want to advertise, then we need to talk … enjoy the show!
