roundeyeradio - Help
What is roundeyeradio and when do you broadcast?
roundeyeradio is Tokyo's English internet radio station broadcasting 24 hours, with a live get up and go breakfast show brought to you by your host, Kelly, every weekday morning from 7 - 9 featuring news and weather information and of course music! What is audio streaming?
roundeyeradio is just like a regular radio station, except that instead of broadcasting through the ether by radio waves, you pick up our progamming from a data “stream” through your computer connected to the internet. Listen here.Do I need any special software?
To listen to roundeyeradio you will need an MP3 player installed on your computer. You will likely have one already, but if not, you can download one. eg) Winamp (PC), iTunes (Mac and PC), or XMMS (Linux). What if the roundeyeradio stream appears to be down?
If you get a “File Not Found” message from our stream link, then our stream may be down temporarily. In case we don't know about it, please drop us an email. What should I do if I get a message asking me to “run auto configure”?
On some machines, the initial attempt to connect to our stream may produce a message prompt asking you to “run auto configure”. By clicking OK, your player may then be able to start the audio stream after trying several different connection protocols. The auto-configure procedure will not disable your player even if you are still unable to connect to our live stream.I can't listen to your audio stream at work. What gives?
Sometimes if you can't access the stream or see “undefined” error messages, you are probably behind a firewall. Some unenlightened businesses filter what their employees can access on the Internet at work, and unfortunately, Internet radio is a prime candidate for being blocked. If this is happening to you, your only hope is turning someone in your IT department into a roundeyeradio fan.
